Our Story
Our family farm is excited to be raising the American bison on the richest grass pastures while following agriculture rotational grazing methods here in Northern Indiana! Our bison are moving from pasture to pasture, just like they do in the wild. Our herd is grass fed and finished. Our main focus is to keep the bison in as much of their natural habitat as possible by following regenerative farming practices. We practice good land stewardship to avoid pesticides on our pastures to control weeds. The herd grazes on the rich native grasses as nature provides.
Our family has enjoyed meeting visitors from all over Indiana and many other states. We have also welcomed visitors from 8 other countries.
Advantages of raising these majestical and keystone species on a family farm is knowing they facilitate a deep-root grass system that revitalize topsoil and support the growth of regenerative plants, grasses, and micro organisms “replanting the prairies” along while providing several needs of an abundance of wildlife.
Our family is invested in raising bison meat or as we say “The Healthier Choice Meat”. Bison has less calories than chicken, but more protein then beef and salmon. Bison meat provides a great source of omega 3, zinc, iron, magnesium, calcium, and B-12. Our meat products are processed and packaged in a USDA and BOAH inspected facility to reassure you the importance of safe handling.
We are working on growing our herd with top choice genetics, and will have award winning breeding stock sales in the future!
